To start, you’ll need a few simple ingredients: butter, sugar, saltine crackers, and chocolate chips. But don’t let the simplicity fool you – when combined, these ingredients create a rich and indulgent candy that’s perfect for sharing with loved ones.

To make the candy, you’ll start by layering the saltine crackers in a baking dish and pouring a buttery caramel sauce over them. After baking in the oven for a few minutes, you’ll sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let them melt, creating a smooth and creamy layer on top of the toffee.

What I love about this recipe is how easy it is to customize. You can add chopped nuts, dried fruit, or even a sprinkle of sea salt to make it your own. Plus, it’s a great recipe to make with kids, as they’ll love helping to crush the crackers and sprinkle on the chocolate chips.

So if you’re ready to indulge in the richness of Ritzy Toffee Candy, give this recipe a try. It’s a sweet and salty treat that’s perfect for any occasion, and sure to become a family favorite in your home too!

Ritzy Toffee Candy is a simple recipe that’s made with just 5 delicious ingredients. It’s hard not to love the classic and buttery taste of Ritz Crackers, which are the foundation of this recipe. I found that using snowflake-shaped crackers worked particularly well for laying out on the baking sheet with minimal spaces between them.

Brown sugar is another key ingredient in this recipe, adding a deep sweetness that’s the start of many of my favorite treats, like my famous NY Times Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. But let’s not forget about the butter – when making a recipe with so few ingredients, it’s worth it to splurge on high-quality butter. I opted for Kerrygold Butter in this recipe, which adds a rich, buttery flavor that can’t be beat.

To take this recipe to the next level, I used Ghiradelli’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, which add a creamy and indulgent layer to the toffee. And for the perfect finishing touch, I sprinkled on a bit of my favorite sea salt from Sal de Añana in the Basque Country of Spain.

All of these high-quality ingredients come together to create a candy that’s truly indulgent and delicious. So why not treat yourself and your loved ones to the richness of Ritzy Toffee Candy? It’s sure to become a new family favorite!

Sal de Añana is a gourmet sea salt that’s harvested in the Basque Country of northern Spain. The salt is harvested from a network of salt pans that date back to Roman times, making it not just delicious, but also steeped in history and tradition.

What makes Sal de Añana so special is the way it’s harvested. The salt pans are filled with water from the nearby mountains, and then the water is left to evaporate in the sun. As the water evaporates, the salt crystallizes on the surface of the pans, creating beautiful white crystals that are harvested by hand.

Because Sal de Añana is harvested using traditional methods, it has a unique flavor and texture that’s hard to find in other salts. The crystals are large and irregular, with a delicate crunch and a subtle briny flavor that’s perfect for finishing dishes or as a finishing touch on sweet treats like Ritzy Toffee Candy.

In addition to its great taste, Sal de Añana is also highly prized for its health benefits. The salt is high in minerals like magnesium and potassium, and because it’s harvested using natural methods, it’s free of additives and preservatives.

If you’re a fan of gourmet salts, or simply want to try something new and delicious, Sal de Añana is definitely worth seeking out. Whether you sprinkle it on your favorite savory dishes or use it to add a touch of sophistication to your sweet treats, you won’t be disappointed!
